I am an an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Pittsburgh, with appointments in the Intelligent Systems Program and Clinical and Translational Sciences. I am also Director of the University of Pittsburgh’s Biomedical Informatics Training Program. My work focuses on the challenge of making biomedical data more useful to clinicians and researchers, with specific projects involving knowledge representation, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and team science.
