Project Tycho has released 237 new datasets containing COVID-19 data for countries around the world. These datasets conform to the new Project Tycho data format v1.1. The standard data format adds several new demographic variables to the previous version: sex, gender, race, and ethnicity. The new data format also includes variables to represent hospital and ICU admissions, as well as allowing for Boolean combinations of some geographic and demographic variables.

The new COVID-19 data contains daily and/or weekly case counts, deaths, recoveries, and/or hospitalizations for 237 countries from 2020-2021. As always, metadata is available for each dataset in DATS JSON and DataCite XML formats. These data are currently available only as pre-compiled datasets.
