THE BENTER FOUNDATION
An important part of the Project Tycho outreach program is supported by the Benter Foundation in Pittsburgh through the Public Health Dynamics Laboratory (PHDL) International Fellows program. This program trains scientists and policy makers from low- and middle income countries in disease modeling and data management for global health. As part of this program, Project Tycho has partnered with teams from Brazil, Taiwan, South Africa, Colombia, and Vietnam to improve the use of global health data for scientific discovery and innovation. The Benter Foundation also supports the participation of Project Tycho in the Computational Biology of Infectious Disease training program in Asia.
